hey i have a 1991 lx 5.0 and today i pre mounted my 17x9 cobra r rims on the front and when you turn the wheel all the way the rim rubs on tha a arm. any suggestions?

ps. there are no tires mounted yet

they will always rub on the front with bigger rims, you can actually get rack limiters which go on you sterring rack and won't let the wheel turn as far.

i have the 17 inch saleens on mine and if u turn all the way they still rub minorly

I know this may seem a little gheto rigged but you cangrind your a arms where the rim rubs the a arm,about a 1/4 of an inch. not my personal choice but it works. But the safe way to stop it is to change out to tubular a arms. I got my tubular a arms from All Mustang Performance in Phoenix for $200.00 and change.Also the newtubular aarms have the proper lower ball joints to allow you to correct the alignment properlyif you have camber caster plates. and one more thing if you grind your a arms make sure you rebalance your tires with tape weights. no more static balance they will find a way somehow to fu@%^ng catch the a arm and fly off.

they will do that.. its no biggie tho.. just make sure it doesnt rub the inner fenderwell plastic or it will wear through and ull have noise.. just push it back and up and put a screw in thereto hold them up. thats what i did and now i dont hear any noise

Our steering wheels turn just a little over 2 turns lock to lock. I just make sure I don't turn the wheel more than one full turn and you won't rub the arm.

i have herd that there are some companies out their that make special lower control arms that have a slight bend in them to prevent the wheels from rubbing.
