when my engine is under ANY kind of load, it makes a noise, like pre detenation, but much much louder, and it does it when i rev it up a lil bit as well.... and if i put my ear on the center of the intake i can here it there the most, dont sound like its commin from under a valve cover.... could this be the end of my bottem end?[&:]

timing, set it back to stock for the hek of it

have tried that, it dont make no difference at all

could be an injector going out, try some injector cleaner and run it for awhile

pull the intake, hopefully someting just collapsed in the valvetrain

Just for the hell of it what does your balancer look like.Mine spun and was acting the same way.I finally figured out that when I set the timing I was always 5-7 degrees off.The bad part was that I pulled the motor before I figured it out.But while it is out time for all new parts.
