HCI - Teardown 95% Complete [PICS]
Okay,
So I have almost finished the teardown for my H/C/I.
I've only had my 5.0 for about a month and have already dumped all my money into it. Anyways I have almost completed the teardown except for removing the crank pulley, timing chain, and the cam. I spent two days on it and really took my time (took a lot of breaks and had work each of the days). Also note the fan and waterpump pulley was removed after these photos (couldn't get the last bolt of the 4 off before the last pictures).
The incoming upgrades consist of the following:
- Trickflow - Upper/Lower Intake Manifold
- Trickflow - Valve Covers
- Thumper Performance - Ported E7 Heads (www.thumperoforangepark.com)
- Ford E303 Camshaft & Dual Timing Chain
- Ford #24lb Injectors
- BBK Fenderwell Intake
Other modifications consist of:
- MSD Ignition System
- Ford Motorsport Shorty Headers
- MAC Prochambered H-Pipe (no cats)
- Flowmasters (how predictable)
The car is an AOD and along with this install there will be all new gaskets and coolant hoses/clamps.
I have attached below are some photos of the teardown, and will have the project finished in about a week when my new heads are ready!
