Default Tire Experts

I would post pics but anyone from my digital is too big for this site even after i resize em, anyways i got some weld draglites and mt slics with beadlock and tubes, max psi on tire said 35 i filled to 15 took it across the street on hot asphalt was only on it like halfway never taking it over 3 grand and on the passenger side the tire tore apart a long strip right where the sidewall meets the tread. I checked before hand and nothing hits not the qudrashock or anything. Only thing is the other tire didnt get torn up and they are used and only spot i can see where it might have caught is in the inner wheel well near the front and backside but even that is still about an inch from where right where the tire started to shred off. So any ideas? im thinking maybe just cuz there shot since there used.

On the outside about a half inch into the sidewall you can see a faint line as well on both tires, id just like to confim that they are just shot before i go and buy new ones and end up shredding new ones up.Also the sway bar bracket is real real close to the inner sidewall but thats not where the tire shred off, a long thin strip all along the end of the inner sidewall.

You rear end sways back and forth unless you have bracket to keep it centered. Also when you turn you chassis leans on the suspension and can get closer to the tire.

he's right, ya know. the differences between street and track pavement are immense...
i'm surprised they didnt shred right off the rim.

lmfao, shred right off the rim? I dont plan on using them except for the track i got them used and had them on to make sure they fit and did not have any problems. And if you got them shredding off your rims on the street then you gotone bad pair slics.

first off that crap about the street vs track surface is crap, they will hook harder on the track and slip on the street. i recently tried a m/t et drag on my 89 gt at 27x 10 and it was getting abused from the inner fender wall cutting it. not only from the suspension movement but also due to the fact that as soon as you start spinning these tires they swell with the heat and grow taller. im running a 26x 11.50 now and its a tubeless m/t et street which is of the same compound as a slick and if you go to the general discussions section you can see the videos ive posted and how well they work. your getting fender rash from the tire being too big. i would go a little smaller. by the way im running 12 lbs of pressure in mine tubeless with no problems.
