WTF? Where is my lope?!

WTF? Where is my lope?!
I seem to have lost my lope in my camshaft. I know it's only a Steeda #19 so it wasn't too aggressive to begin with. But I've been messing with my tune lately and all of a sudden I noticed that it doesn't seem to lope like it used to. I think a large part of it was the fact that I slightly raised the idle some. I like the responsiveness better, but I kinda hate how I lost my sound, lol. Except for a vey slight lope, it damn near sounds stock!!! is that even possible?
Here's a link to a video I just took this evening. I knew raising the RPM would have a slight effect, but I didn't think it would make that much of a difference. Well, betwen that and messing with the tune overall...

On my car I have a very mild cam 218/224 duration 512/512 lift, at 800rpm it lopes good but at 900rpm its almost gone and 1000 rpm it sounds stock.

It sounds like it's right on the verge. I also used to pull about 13 to 13.5 inches of vacuum but now it's pulling a full 15 inches. Still 2 inches lower than my stock camshaft, but still weird to gain 1.5 inches back somehow.

RE: WTF? Where is my lope?!
I idle at just over 900 RPM.. Seems to go between 900 and 950ish. With the idle down it sounds rougher, but then I lose some vacuum and on occasion, it gives me problems. I think it was a mix between the higher RPM and the change in tunes.
Tomorrow when the sun is back up, i'll switch back to my old tune and grab a video of what it's supposed to sound like.

My Crane cam is 214/220 at .050 and .513/.529 lift with a 112 angle. When I first put it on it idled like a BEAST, then once I got my carb tuned at about 750-800rpm now it has a fairbit of an idle, but nothing like it used to. Prolly a combination of raising your idle and the tune, it seemed like on mine just the tune alone had a HUGE impact on how the cam sounded

RE: WTF? Where is my lope?!
I guess it's not such a bad thing, as it makes it sound a bit closer to stock and helps with the sleper aspect. But then again, i think I completely lost that with the procharger. it was fairly quiet at first but once it settled in, that beast got loud. Again, it got louder as i raised th RPM. it seems that 900 - 1200 RPM is the swet spot where the airflow is just right to make it scream. Above that or below that, it quiets out.
Even if the exhaust clip I posted above, you can hear the s/c whistle.
I was just surprised how much I could tune out the lope. I know that it's a very mild and cam to begin with, but wow what a difference, lol.
