I was on my way to my b/f's apartment and just arrived. As I was turning into the driveway I got rearended and was spun 180 degrees. You can see from the picture how much damage was done. The car wouldn't start and I had to have her towed away. I'm waiting to hear what needs to be fixed and how much it's gonna cost. Any estimations?[sm=boohoo.gif]

I'd say between 4 and 6 grand.

depends on who ya know. a reg body shop will probably say 3-4k all depends on the condition of the frame, i would just take whatever the ins company gave you and get a fox 89-93 convert they look much better

ah, that makes me wanna cry even more. well, i guess i shouldn't worry cause the ******* that did it has to pay for it. he was driving an suv with a huge grill on the front so i don't think he had any damage. i just hope everything can be fixed and won't cost more than my car is actually worth. i don't want a new one, i love that car.

my brother works at the dealer we got it from. he says we should take it there cause they have one of the best body shops. i don't really know what's going on though. i'm kinda leaving it up to my parents.

reset your fuel switch. when rearended it ususally shuts off

well under normal circumstances a dealer would go up in you no questions asked but your brother will look out for you, really the original estimate is probably going to be in the 5-6k range but an adjuster wont let that float, but we'll see...let us know what they said

yeah, we figured that out. isn't it in the trunk though? cause we couldn't get that open anyway

I wouldnt touch that trunk lid or try to reset the fuel shut off switch, Let the adjuster see that it wont run and all the damage. You will still need to come up with the deductable for the collision insurance probably $500

wel didn't touch anything on it. my b/f and his friends pushed it out of the way into a parking spot and then it got towed away. this all happened monday night so we've just been waiting to hear from everyone about it
