Default Bump Steer??

I have Eibach Pro-kits, Tokico HP Shocks/Struts, Maximum Motorsport C/C Plates....and an Alignment.

Every once and a while, when I turn the car I get a small knock, or bump...that comes from under my feet. It almost feels like a bushing is loose, and when I turn the car it bumps.......

Then I thought it may be bump steer since the car is lowered.....What do you think??

Better yet, explain bump steer to me

Off the Maximum Motorsports website:

Bumpsteer is a term for the situation where the front toe changes as the suspension moves up and down. If the toe changes more than a very small amount it will cause the car to change direction, making the car unstable and unpredictable.

That does not really sound like what I have.....the car still goes straight, but something is making a bumping sound down there.....

Maybe a motor mount is loose??

I did just replace the motor mounts a month (or two) ago....I will check them out....

I tell you, it was easy to get those on when I could actually stand inside the engine-bay during my H/C/I....now it is going to be a lot of fun from underneath

did you fully tighten your front strut mount bushings? if they are not tight enough...it will cause a knocking noise...

Bumpsteer is basically when you are driving a lowered car over bumpy pavement the wheel/car unexpectedly lurch to one side or another. MM bumpsteer kit is one of the best investements I have made suspension wise.
