wow thats pretty scary. you can hear people screaming out names and everything, could you amagine standing next to that as it hit those people. and that is definetly the wrong car for that event if anything they should have let the guy just spin his tires over not atempt a new 1/4 mile record.

I just feel bad for the people that were hit... Can you imagine if that was your child, mother/father, etc...

yeah i would feel horrible if i was the driver.
even tho the people shouldnt of been allowed that close...i would still blame myself.
thats one of those situations where no punishment is needed. he'll be hurtin enough as it is.

I want to know who told the driver to do the burnout in the first place? On a public street...Sheer stupidity. The town is at fault for allowing it, the driver can be at fault for not saying "no, i wont do a burnout that close to bystanders, too risky". You cant predict what those cars will do, i dont care how many years experience one has behind the wheel. Its bad enough we got yahoos that cant drive to begin with streetracing on crowded streets in hopped-up Hondas where people have gotten killed. Is this incident any different? No, not really, it was a display of power. Anything can happen at any time. Sadly the car in question now was well over 1000hp and not at all designed for street use. Theres a reason they keep these cars on a track and the spectators away. Duh!

I hope this never happens again. It didnt have to happen at all. Families lost loved ones. Needlessly. May they have the strength to go on.

Just horrible.

Any one who has ever driven a car with a spool in it knows unless the surface is FLAT (like a dragstrip) the car will go either to the right or left depending on the side of the road you are on.
In Arizona where I live we have peeps locked up for lots less..........
