RE: PMS or have it Tuned?
It's the same unit no matter what you hook it up to. The same exact unit will work on a Mustang, Explorer, T-bird, F-150, Expedition, Contour, Econoline, Lincoln Mark VII, Taurus, Lightning, and even the Focus.
You simply select your specific setup when you first run th software (strategy, etc)

dam nice thanks bro.. Tweecer RT ill look into this.. what all is differnt from that and the pms? I just dont see paying 4-800dollers to have my car tuned when i can buy the programmer have guys on stangtuning.com help me out here and there and do it all my self. For one its cheaper and for 2, I can learn it all and know how to do it.

ive been reading a little on the two and the only main difference is the price and that the pms is easier to use. but when your spending half as much money....its worth it to take a little more time and effort than to shove out the extra dough.

There are two things that people bitch about with Tweecer.
1) You need a laptop to use it. But in this day and age, laptops are so cheap and easy to come by that it should never be a problem. Hell, 7 laptops and three desktops in the house as we speak (although 2 of the laptops are broken.)
2) It has a steep learning curve and can be hard to learn at first. But then again, you are talking about altering the car's computer. If you screw that up you could cause some serious damage. I don't see how learning about the car's ecu can be a bad thing.
If you have a laptop and you truly want to learn what makes it run and how you can change it to make it run how you want it to run, then go with the Tweecer. I learned a lot both before and after I got mine and it has helped a great deal when it comes to diagnosing problems, etc.
