need help identifying a wire!

ok i just went out and looked, with a flashlight and no mirror.

it goes down, right down the back of the motor, and starts curling down towards the passenger side. looks to go down past the lower intake.
my motor is too hot to trace it with my hand, but that should at least give you a starting point to look.

looks like its the H.E.G.O sensor ground. what is that???
An HEGO sensor is just a fancy name for what you probably know as an O2 sensor or Oxygen sensor. As you can imagine, it would be bad if that wire were cut or damaged, as it would screw up any readings from that O2 sensor. I'm guessing that either the wire is something else, or your car is running like crap and possibly triggering a CEL.

as of right now now that is the least of my worries, I cant even get the motor to start cause the injectors wont spray. I was really hoping that that wire would have solved my problem

injector timing is controlled by the signal from the pickup module inside the distributor, and fed out through the TFI module.
test both of those too.

It looks like the ground that goes to the bach of the block.
