yeah the 347 would probably end up causing me problems later on and the 331 actually should give me the initial horsepower that im looking for lol until i become a hpjunkie and want a power adder or something

How comes avoid DSS Racing what bad stuff have you heard about them? I was looking at buying one of there engines.

well ive been hearing about how the 347 puts alot of stress on the stock block not to say it wont work but since im not looking to change blocks anytime soon i decided on the 331and when its time to go for more hp i will supercharge it or something cause i think with h/c/i and stroker i should be pushin alot more hp than i am now

i am puttin together a scat 331 it was about 800 bucks from summit. buddy of mine has same kit runs great no problems yet

I'm not aware of any more pressure on the block using a 347 vs a 331 for the sake of the kits themselves.....only issue was the piston design of old where the oil ring was so close to the wrist pin hole

actually adder is right...its the piston/rod angle, it puts more pressure on the sidewalls, its physics.
