i've noticed in some of my mustang magazines that there are cold air tuned maf and regular tuned to what size you injectors are......i just put in another engine with 30# injector the maf sensor is supposed to be for the injectors but i am getting an idle surge sometimes and sometimes not...i have a c&l cold air tube that came with the engine, i was wondering if the setup was made for the cold air tube? if not could it be making my idle surge up and down? i really dont know what a pipe could do to cause an up and down idle though....

more than likely ur i.a.c. is bad....idle air control, u can clean it usually and this will go away, sometimes u need a new one
