Ground Problem

Default Ground Problem

I got the motor swapped in and ready to go.............just one problem. The negitive cable on the battary, the cable that runs from it grounds somewheres????? Not sure where, the cable is a little over a foot long and I believe its somewheres on the block???

Usually the negative cable will ground in one or two places. Look on the fenderwell for where to ground it to. You're probably missing the bolt that connects the cable lead to the fenderwell.

The bolt just to the right of the oil filter is where the end of the negative battery cable attaches to the block


This is where the negative cable attaches to the fenderwell

that wire is too long from the factory, best to cut it and ground it to the ac bracket bolt, the car will like that alot better.

Always remember to keep your grounds as short as possible

it doesnt really m atter where your grounds go, anywhere on the block would work really. the shorter the better, just make sure you have a ground goin to everything that was origianlly there. i.e. fender, block
