Thanks for the help guys- really sucks *** though cause i'm starting a new job as a manager at a staffing agency and it sucks so bad that i got to show up to work in my car all f ed up. i'm having to drive my girlfriends honda around!!!!
sigh, i hope i find someone who can fix it soon and works on the weekends or its gonna be a B trying to get er done

HC, if the new hood has a steel latch like the stock hood you should be okay without pins, it's when the hood has plastic or fiberglass latch area that it rips through and smacks ur windshield.

well...i guess I don't feel so bad ....because that SAME thing happened to me ...only I forgot to put in my hood pins....fiberglass cervinis hood....RIPPED at the latches and broke my cowl....flew off into the side of the road....lol I pulled over and RAN towards the hood....through the hood back on the car and on the pins they go....
now my problem is that the hood is no longer attached to the hood latches (might be useful)...
it sucks man...I just have to replace the hood now
