Default Do I use stock length pushrods for 351 heads with roller rockers and x cam?

Ihave finallygathered up all the parts I need before I tear apart my engine. I have a set of ported '70 DO0E 351w heads that have 7/16 studs put into them with guideplates and I have the arp spacers to bolt them on a 302.I also have a x cam with 1.6 roller rockers. I bought a set of hardened holley systemax 2 stock length pushrods for a rollercambut have heard different opinions about what length of pushrods to use. Has anyone done this swap or could help? Thanks

you could always just check the length....

or is setting proper valve train geometery too difficult for everyone on this forum.

im pretty sure you can use the ones you have just as long as they are the ones for the roller setup

You need to measure what length is required for your setup....the only "opinion" that counts is the engine's......as Adder already mentioned.

you probably have the right ones, so slap a few in there and see where everything is sitting.

mine are shaved .020 total and Im still using stock ones, without issues. The lifters and valve lash adjustments will compensate minor differences

Unless they are too long and u start breaking pushrods like pencils. If they area little off and adjustable rocker should be able to adjust them out
