mine whines in every gear but thats from my throw out bearing. and dont waste you money on atf get some gm syncromesh thats good stuff the t-5's love it

my t-5 sounded like it was supercharger whine. When i pulled the engine and took off the tranny the pilot bearing was roasted, the throw out bearing was roasted and the clutch was roasted. input shaft was medium well. maybe its just low on fluid. i hope all goes well.

Weird, my T-5's never whine.........but then they go schrrreeeeee pop pop pop pop then the rear end locks up....Is that normal?[8D]

Well it whines in every gear, but not in neutral.And not with the clutch in. It gets worse when it's engine breaking or decelerating. i hope it's not the clutch, throwout bearing, or pilot bearing cause they are all brand new.
