NE Pa is just as hard. anyone around here that has a 5.0 is not selling it/is selling it for alot of money. I lucked out with my almost complete 85k '87 5.0 for 500. came with stock tubular headers, water pump, Edelbrock Performer dual plane intake and a dizzy...

if you can , keep it as a project and build it over time. then you can buy a cheap mustang and drop it in.

Here in Tucson area I can buy either 5.0's or 351's for $150 that come with 90 warranty.

i think selling the motor, including wiring harness, ecu and anything else needed to make the motor run,plus the tranny....... i could see someone paying 1000 for it, i wouldn't but you never know

What kind of a crate are you looking at getting? You'd end up spending a lot less money rebuilding your motor with a stroker kit, good h/c/i swap, ect. Hell, you would still come out cheaper by getting a reputable shop to build your current engine up. I just don't understand how people get so worked up over crate engines. It's just throwing money away! My advice would be to call a good performance shop and see what they can do for you before you buy a crate. Of course, this is just my $0.02.
