Have your cats gutted and see if that helps. or change them out for new ones. I didnt read anywhere that you had the converters took off so that could definetly be it. It took me alot of time and money to figure that out.

ok i used the seafoam stuff about a month ago and used InjectR cleaner i had to disconnect the fuel lines and whatnot to do so it wasnt just something you put in the gas tank. IM hoping that when i get the new fuel filter tommrow it would solve these problems. right now my timing is set to the stock timing where the two lines are on the distributer. I need new wires also any suggestions?

Another problem MY car doesnt go into high rpms when i hit about 2000 rpms the engine is loud and it feels like it needs to shift. I thoughti should be able to cruise from 2-2500 rpms without a whole lot of noise. Anybody had this problem? thanks for the info

not for average street driving. thats like 1800-2000rpm with stock gears in 3rd....soundslike he was right to me.

Were not talking about average street driving. He said he "raced" a VR6. Do you go from a roll at 2000 rpm? Lose much?

I totally agree with ckyguy68, you don't want to be at 1800rpm when doing a roll. I also don't think its as big of deal as you make it out to be. VR6s are right at high 14s, low 15s.So you hanging with him wouldn't be too bad. I mean your car isn't heavily modded, and it is heavier than a foxbody, so running a high 14 might not be too far off.

according to http://www.albeedigital.com/supercou...0-60times.html:

1994 Ford Mustang GT 6.1 14.9 (C&D Dec '93)
1996 Volkswagen GTI VR6 6.7 15.1
2003 Volkswagen GTI 24V VR6. 0-60 6.5 n/a
