stator plug
Are there any local stores that sell the stator plugs for the 3G alternator or is it a dealer number. I know 50resto has them but I really don't want to spend $15 on a $5 part. If you know any and have a part number that would be great.

RE: stator plug
i had to get mine from ford, none of the parts stores carried it. i think i paid like $13 for it. i know it was a rip off but when you need something now....ya know. you could also try to find one in a junkyard car and cut it off the harness.

dont need a plug, you can just use a female spade connector.
it saddens me that as soon as I start offering 3g alts for sale.... everyone goes and does the swap, but doesnt buy them from me.

Btw, thanks for the heads up about the spade connector.

RE: stator plug
200 amp is a bit excessive. I run quite a large amount of electronics in my car and my 130 is fine.
btw... 200 amp alts will cause more parasitic loss in the HP department.
figured id give you the heads up on that too
