Not to mention u need to be worrying about matching parts here. Not just throwin **** together and hopin it makes some more power over stock. That's just a waste of money

well are the HCI kits reasonably priced?? or is it cheaper to get the parts seperately?

its cheaper to buy a pre-gathered kit

but you get better results from piecing together a nice matched combo

trickflow kit aint bad at all, but you can usually make more power if you throw your own combo together.

most people on this forum make ~280-290hp with the trickflow kit.

I made 276 on a stock cobra engine with tuning.

4-14hp just wasnt worth $2200 to me

ya but ur cobra has a different intake. and gt-40's right. Plus with tuning I'm sure u can make well over 290 with that kit. Most people just throw it together

you wouldve probably made more power if you used a differenttune for that combo, not just 4-14hp.

I'm still a little die hard about the twisted wedge head because it's such a better cobustion chamber design then a typical wedge head. A ported twisted wedge head can way outflow just a typical wedge head on the market and u aren't exactly gunna change valve placement with a die grinder. Lol

yep ur right. I dunno, I need more experience at this stuff. The FI gets me too cause I dunno how to match parts with a FI intake. They are soo much different then a carb intake. There aren't any single plane, dual plane, high rises or anything like that with FI set ups. Unless u go with a throttle body on top of a carb intake. So how do u figure an ideal powerband for a FI intake?
