Fuel Injection - More expensive parts (ex. computers), more expensive to tune, more reliable, and better throttle response.
Carb- Cheaper, easier to tune if you have a screwdriver, makes just as much power.

My old carb never let me down as far as starting or driveability.

yo, they don't make the same power. Fi makes more, but whatever. O and it takes more than a screwdriver to tune a carb if u know what ur doin

Yes, people think they make the same (I'm assuming) because they see a stock Fi set up versus a carb set up with an aftermarket manifold. Why do u think everything is FI now? Ferraris? It makes more power more reliable.

Well he was in the rebuilding process when the camaro project came along, and all it needed were the pistons, and then the motor would be ready to drop in. He has the motor still stripped down, but he has all the parts needed except pistons. He is willing to put the motor back together as long as I provide the pistons. He is a certified mechanic and besides, I haven't found a motor that looks as good as that one for 200 dollars.

Adumb, next time I will personally ask you to do a search for me. Sound good?

the joke is on you buddy... everyone that read the title was probably already saying mean things in the heads...." are you kidding me another efi vs carb topic" "doesn't this guy know how to use the search function"

you are just to selfish to realize it isn't all about you

F/I does not technically build power, componentry does. I personally do not care about blowing holes in the guy who started this thread with a good technical question. Carb and F/I are both very expandable adn both build legitimate horsepower if built correctly. The main question is how flexible do I want to be? Turbo, Supercharge or Spray? How does the application fit my plans? Looking at it that way you can answer your own question. Quit flaming, you all look like a bunch of kid's when you t off on each other.

Peace.
