Default Tail Pipes

I have a 88LX and my buddy just took his magnaflow tailpipes off his 03 GT for a dump setup and was wondering if I could fit his tailpipes on my 88lx without serious modifications...If I have to cut some pipe off something thats not big deal but are the bends the same for going over the axle. Has anybody ever done this...
Thanks,
Evan

There was some cobbled set up on my coupe when I bought it.

The mufflers were too close to the ground, about 3 or 4" from the floor. It could not go up any higher because the top of the over the axle pieces were up as high as they could go.

I suspect the old tailpipes were off some other year Mustang. Maybe a 94 or up.

it will fit, but you will have to modify the rear most exhaust hanger

Yea the hangers are different the 99-04 have a different bend than the 87-93, when i bought my magnaflow i had to reorder a hanger and they sent me a 99-04 style and it was totally wrong.... the newer ones are bent up and back, the older ones are bent up and out.
