need to find out what size bolt i need

i need the the bolt that is the upper one in the altenator on a 1989 5.0 even if you just know the size and thread would be very helpfull i have went everywhere and noone knows around here

i have all the original p/s, alt and smog pump bolts here, but hell i dunno wich one it is.[&:]

I went out and took mine out measured it. It's a 3/8 x16 by 1 1/4 long with a big washer on it.

what the heck is that? i thought he wanted the bolt for the alt? it's suppose to be like 5-6" long... unless i'm missing something.

That is the upper bolt that goes in the tensioner bracket. Not the lower one that goes in the head i think.
