BTW I don't see how u figure a 140hp loos on a c4, that's a bit overkill

To say the total drive train losses are 137 Hp (17%) with a C4 is realistic if not conservative.

...a little empirical data to support the first statements doesn't hurt.....
Drivetrain loss generally ranges from about 15-17 percent for a manual transmission to 20-25 percent for an automatic. In other words, an engine producing 400 hp at the crankshaft may transmit as little as 300 hp to the rear wheels. Automatics eat more horsepower than manuals primarily because they have heavier rotating assemblies and torque converters, which cause some horsepower to be lost through slippage (lockup-style torque converters are more efficient, but most are not recommended for high-horsepower applications).
The owner of the local Dyno has an 86 GT with Turbo. He was running TKO and swapped to C4 (only change) the RWHP dropped just over 100 RWHP but his 1/8th times got better with higher trap speeds.

That's why we don't race a dyno.

my 86 is slower now with 100 more RWHP because it no longer hooks with the same tires. I am doing some de-tuning this week to get the hook back.
