Default have codes can't read them

alright i did both test and this is what i got

koeo

85 85 1316691316691

the first two had were easy and are obviously 85 but after that it went quick and i didn't really notice pauses and stuff.

koer

122122111122191

with the engine running i don't even have a clue what it means

i know 22 means hard codes and 11 means memory but i don't actually know what codes i have. any help is appreciated

Default RE: have codes can't read them

alright so i got all the codes from the koer part

122 122 111 122 191

so i guess the 122 code means all the same stuff which is tps below min volts at idle... how do i fix that..

the 111 is a system pass code

the 191 means left side still rich at leanest adaptive limit at idle... how do i fix it.

i still don't know how to read the koeo codes. is it still the same three digit pattern?

Default RE: have codes can't read them

look at me finding out all the info.. gotta thank joel 5.0 for his site and all the usefull info on it... this is how i deciphered it

85 canp circuit failure

91 02 sensor circuit indicates lean drivers side, no o2 sensor switching detected always lean drivers side

31 egr valve position pressure feedback egr circuit below minimum voltage .24

66 maf signal below mininmum test voltage of .4vdc tranny fluid temp circuit grounded.

any help on how to fix these would be great. i know it is alot but if you just know one that would help also.

just for reference i have no smog stuff with bolts in the back of the heads and the charcoal cannister removed but i lift the solonoid attached to the car cause i heard i would get a fault for that. i also just put a new exhaust one with no cats and while i did that i put brand new 02 sensors on.

think maybe i should dissconnect the battery cause some of these might be old ones or something.

85 85 1316691316691 = 85 O, 10 separator code, 31 M, 66 M, 91 M

I would repeat the KOER.....keep in mind there is an initial code 4 (engine id code), after which the KOER routines run (1-2 minutes) and then you have the KOER codes flashed. On the KOEO codes above, O=On Demand code, M=Continuous Memory code.

Since code 66 does not show up in the KOER results, I would clear memory (disconnect battery for 2-4 minutes) and rerun the KOEO to confirm they cleared.

Also make sure engine is at op temp (coolant temp >170° F) for the KOER....if code 91 shows up again, follow the test diagram below. Code 31 is an EVP sensor code, is it connected?....if it is, the EGR sensor might need to be replaced.....this code will not cause any driveability problems BTW, + you have an EGR delete courtesy of the EEC-IV system.....it does it automatically when an EGR related code is present.

Even though the diagram above shows a 4-wire O2 sensor.......the tests apply for the 3-wire sensors as well.

that might have been one of my problems i did it with the motor cold. i didn't realize you needed to do it with a warm motor.

Default RE: have codes can't read them

alright i checked some stuff out and i did leave my driver size o2 sensor unplugged after i put the new exhaust on. i plugged it in and dissconnected the battery and this is what i have now

koeo

85851111

koeo

94449444

44 - Secondary Air System Inoperative. bank one, passenger side (R)

94 - Secondary Air Injection Inoperative. bank two, driver side (R), Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit Failure (O)

now like i said i don't have my charcoal cannister or my smog pump. is this code from either one of them? if not what is it from and how do i fix it.

Default RE: have codes can't read them

did a search and found out the 44 and 94 codes are because i have no smog pump. the codes won't throw a light but they will come up... so i guess everything is a ok on my car.

one more question, before i did this test i had a check engine light that would come up after like 15 minutes of driving. was that probably caused by the disconnected 02 sensor?

A little late to add this, but yes that was emissions crap (or lack of) that tossed those codes. Also, the random CEL can be caused by bad O2 sensors. In your case, it was unplugged which would make the computer thnk that it was faulty.
