will my stock valve covers clear? or the explorer ones?

That I'm not sure about because i ditched the stock covers pretty quickly. But if I had to guess I'd say no. The stockers were pretty small. But that's purely a guess.

ok so im guessing maybe the 1.6 will work with stock covers but will i be loosing performance as a result?is it a big loss? i want to get orderin lol

make sure you get the GT-40 heads milled to have a 64cc or smaller combustion chamber.

if they are gt-40P's you will already have a 59cc chamber which means higher compression.

so should i get the p motor? both are available and the same price i ordered the cam and im deciding on the rockers. i dont mind having to put different headers for the p but is it an overall better motor i cant decide and i want to buy the motor soon and start building it. my car is parked and is begging me to fix it.

Get 1.7s and different valve covers, Not much point in getting the steeda cam without running 1.7s.

good point, ive read some people on here have removed there baffles and it fit. Im not sure but i have to figure it out thx for all the input.

Steeda #19 w/ 1.6 Rockers = .480 lift
Steeda #19 w/ 1.7 Rockers = .510 lift

As you can see, you lose a decent amount of lift if you choose 1.6 over 1.7. Not that it will suck or anything... but if you're gonna spend all that moeny setting everything up, you might as well grab some 1.7s and find a decent set of valve covers as well

ok with .510 lift will it be ok to use the stock springs?
i know its recomended to replace them etc but will they crush or is it safe?

i was trying to avoid removing heads and i can get a real fresh p type motor from a 00 or so
