Default gt40 crate motor

just wanting some opinions. a local guy is selling a low mileage gt40 crate motor w/ the alum. heads and e- cam for 1500.00 does this seem like a good price? i know this motor is not good for the 345 hp it advertises but my plans were only going to be ported gt40 irons, cam and intake anyway. this seems like it would make comparible power for thearound the same price and i would have a fresh block also. let me know what ya think.

your really only paying for the heads and cam, the block doesn't have forged pistons, i have the same heads there not bad at all if you work on them, I removed all the valves and did a mild porting/smoothing and they flow pretty nice. There is some rough castings in the ports. But price isn't bad, I would just buy some heads and put them on your block.
