Default Trick Flow Heads

hey whats up guys, i was just thinking back a little bit and i SWEAR that i remember at least a month back if not longer, one of you guys stated an opinion that trick flow heads were really bad for some reason?

yeah....no i'm really sure that one of you dissed on em a little.

i dont think that it was all trick flow heads but rather a certain kind or something?

i was just wondering if there is some kinda tried and true widespread opinion that i dont know about or something that fits along with my recolection.

i just wanna know if there is something thats not good with or about trickflow cylinder heads or possibly a certain model of trickflow head for future reference when i consider swapping the stock heads for some aftermarket ones.

if someone could clear this up i'd greatly appreciate it.

the only thing i can think of is the twisted wedge heads where the intake and exhaust valves are angled and not in a straight line. Its still a great head the only thing is that if you ever relpace the pistions with a valve release type in them than you have to get specific pistons because of the off set valves. Also if you get harden push rods with guide plate you also have to get trick flow plates for the same reason. But no big deal. Excellent heads though.

their a great head if you have the reverse dome pistons to go with them...as this pushes the incoming air to the spark plug

yeah^^^its just more custom than grabbing some gt-40's or something. A little more tricky but tha downfalls arent anything to WORRY about...IMO. Dont rush urself to buying heads...youll regret it later.

I would not wait long as there will be another jump in price due to aluminum prices. if you haven't notice the aluminum driveshafts went up 50.00..head will be like 100 bucks
