Motorsport A302 Block Drysump to Wetsump
Hi all,
Long time reader, first time poster...I just got a pretty good deal on a SVO A4 block. The previous owner said that it was setup as a drysump system, but it can easily be changed back to a wetsump. He mentioned something about putting some plugs back into the engine to allow it to be a wetsump again. So, what are some tell-tale signs of a wetsump system? I've heard once you go to a drysump you can't change back so easy. Does anyone have any information on the A302 block?
Thanks everyone,
Steve

RE: Motorsport A302 Block Drysump to Wetsump
That's what I thought...I've had someone say that some blocks once converted can't be made back to wet-sump again. I just want to be sure...don't want to start up my new engine only to have it oil starve. Also, does anybody know if the A4 blocks have splayed 4 bolts on all the mains except the first set? I'll see if I can post a picture.
