vacuum harness picture help

RE: vacuum bundle
that certainly wouldn't help, but it might not make that much of a difference. when i took the smog stuff out i accidentally cut the EGR line and couldn't find a replacement annywhere... so i ran it like that for a couple weeks until i found a similar plastic tube that fit, i didn't relly notice anything from it. it sounds to me like whoever took the smog stuff out of your car didn't bother too much with it, did you check to see if the back of the heads are plugged poperly? is the tube that usually goes to the h-pipe capped off?

RE: vacuum bundle
yes when I built the engine I cut some gasket and put it between the heads and that pipe, I also jbwelded it shut. could I get vacuum leaks from there if its not hooked up properly. as it is now, that bundle is not getting any vacuum from the intake manifold at the back, the only wire that is hooked up in that bundle is the white one to the EGR

RE: vacuum bundle
ok cool.
so basically the only wire that is hooked up is on the wrong line... i know the EGR won't really change anything, but i don't know if the intake will affect it, i'd plug them correctly and check.

RE: vacuum bundle
could I hook up a vacuum from the intake to the egr instead of using that bundle to run my egr or does the EGR need to be hooked up using that bundle that takes the vacuum from the intake?

RE: vacuum bundle
[sm=oopssign.gif]LOL i worded that really bad! ok here goes again. since the egr is not getting any vacuum, because the vacuum harness is not recieveing vacuum from the intake, can I hook up the EGR directly to the intake, or does it have to go thru the vacuum harness to work properly. is that betteR?

RE: vacuum bundle
could that cause a rough cold start? my car cranks right up but has a hard time staying steady when its cold, once it gets hot, there is no problem. could the egr not being hooked up right cause backfires?
