My auto meter has been to 7000 several times. The rev limiter works sometimes now but it never worked until my buddy reset my computer codes. I am not sure why it only works sometimes.

its a fuel cut off....cuts power to the pump, a ride will still run with no gas being pumped for a few minutes to all the gas is out of hte system. Hold you motor above 6250 rpms for say a minute..see if it does anything

I wouldn't advise testing the fuel rev limiter just for the hell of it as it will make the engine run lean as it reduces the fuel flow and it could possibly do some damage that you could avoid by not testing it you know.
If you really do need a rev limiter, get an MSD 6AL ignition box with the plug in modules that will give you a rev limiter that interrupts the ignition rather than the fuel as this won't hurt the engine.

sorry im really tired lately....back to working long days....anyways i should of made it more clearer i dont recomend ppl testing that theory one bit. but dont build a motor aroudn that stock cut off or take astock motor that high unless you care to see the after effects then hell just stand on it..
