Default No rev limiter...

If i have no rav limiter does that mean the car has been chiped or the computer modified? Because I have accidently taken my car to about 6700rpm, and I thought the rev limiter is 6200 or close to that.

not rev limiter...fuel cut off at 6250 and like stated already you cant trust hat tach, you could be alot lower. when you hit it youll know it

I always wondered the same thing because my '88 doesn't seem to have one either.
I know the factory tachs are not accurate but you would think the rev limiter would kick in at some point on the factory tach......right?

pull of panel, grab ecu and look on back port. if you see a thing there its a chip, if the factory tape is there car has never had one[chip]
