325 bucks a set http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku (dished)
335 bucks a set http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku (dished w/ trough)
430 bucks a set http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku (flat tops)

like i said, they wont be as light as the JE pistons, but they will hold up just as good (hell maybe better since there is more meat to them) and they cost alot less.

just puttin the options on the table [8D]

I'm running 10 PSI of boost and a 100 shot of nitrous on hyper pistons. It's all in the tune. Get it tuned right and you'll have nothing worry about. Get a bad tune or run lean and you'll shatter them.

+2 i would only get nice pistons if your build up a block form scratch... otherwise dont waste the time or money... im not... i plan on puttin out 500rwhp when im all dont on my stock bottom end and i will drive it quite often... and i do believe samseed would drive his car more than 500miles a year

Probe SRS pistons are the best bang for the buck.

hypers are fine up to 100hp-125hp. be honest with the amout you will be spraying. hypers are lighter and cost less, forged are stronger, heavier, tend to burn oil (rattle on startup) as they expand so much they are much smaller when cold.

forged pistons will take detonation better than a hyper. a hyper will shatter or crack in large peices whereas a forged piston will melt. either case they are both shot but there is less change of damage from a forged piston failing.

a street engine hypers are a better choise. tollerance is much better as they dont expand as much as forged pistons and they are lighter.

flattops make the most hp if you are splitting hairs, the flame travels across more evenly allowing for more leverage. dished and dome can have sharp edges that are more sensitive to damage from detonation.

i would use flattops and a smaller combustion chamber for the most efficient power. use whatever you want but try to stay under 10.5/1 compression.
