Intake Opinions
Alright, everyone is prolly getting sick of me but I want more opinions. I think I have decided on the Professional Products Typhoon EFI intake for my car. I found a place where I can get it new for $330 shipped. Anybody running this? Any luck? Tell me what u think I should do

RE: Intake Opinions
you might consider buying a used intake thats known for better quality if you're on a budget (trick flow, edelbrock, gt40) instead of one with crappy ports unless you can fix the ports yourself. Just my opinion.

RE: Intake Opinions
I got the PP intake and the Edelbrock 70MM TB and I don't have any problems. I DO recommend gasket matching it if you do purchase one.
When I get my truck sold and my tax return I plan to take mine to the Dyno to see what's she's puttin out.
As Dbeck will point out, there ARE better intakes out there and I wish I'd known this before hand, But I've got it and my car runs great.
Look on Ebay, you might find some good deals.

Yea there was a 5.0 Mustang Magazine article a little bit back (i can find the issue it was in if you want) that did an install and review on the Typhoon intake. What others have already said; they needed to match the ports and it looked like a big PITA and a lot of work, especially if you don't know what you're doing. I'd either save up a little more to get a better product. I heard that PP makes their products in malaysia or something to save cost on materials, thats why they are so inexpensive. But it looks like most of their products are poorly made. Like their sticky throttle bodies for instance.
