hotrod thats a little overkill for 300hp, but it prally work if tuned right, and leaves alot of rome for improvements.

79 youll be fine with a 600 or 650 an any of the aftermarket intake should flow an easy 300hp, I would look into the holley and edelbrock intale kits that include a matched cam ive seen these kits for under 300.

Yes I should elaborate more I guess. A 650 would be fine I have alot of work into my Holley. But also I wouldnt be scared to bolt it onto a 351 either. Like vfast said its depends on what else is on that motor.

I would use an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and a 600 cfm carb. I know a few people who have used this setup and it works good. A 600 more than enough carb. What kind of trans. are you running?

I don't have a trans yet. The car came with an auto but I would love to change to a manual. Maybe a 6 speed. The car I got the motor from had an AOD.

On my bro's 1967 Mustang with a 83 5.0, we put in the 268H cam with the Edelbrock RPM Air Gap, and a Holley 650 DP.. The thing runs great!
