Do the 4 cyl springs actually lower your car? I had an original 4cyl to 302 motor change over notch & my 4 cyl.springs in the car didnt lower the car or have that appearance, in fact the front end actually set higher after the motor conversion. I am just curious?

Front springs for a fox 4 cyl
1979 - 92 = 370 lb/in constant rate.
1993 are 400 lb/in constant rate

Handling/GT/heavy duty.
1979 = 395 lb/in constant rate, TRX 425 lb/in constant rate
1980 - 81 =370 lb/in constant rate, TRX 395 lb/in constant rate
1982 = 395 lb/in constant rate, TRX 410 lb/in constant rate
1983 - 84 including TRX = 410 lb/in constant rate.
1984 1/2 - 86 = 425 - 525 lb/in variable rate
1987 - 93 including 93 Cobra = 425 - 530 lb/in variable rate
1993 Cobra R = 750 - 850 lb/in variable rate

And to complete the info;

Rear springs for fox 4 cyl
1979 - 84 1/2 = 160 lb/in constant rate
1984 1/2 - 93 = 160 lb/in constant rate

Handling/GT/heavy duty.
1979 - 84 = 160 lb/in constant rate, TRX 175 lb/in constant rate
1984 1/2 - 93 = 200 - 300 lb/in variable rate
1993 Cobra = 160 lb/in constant rate
1993 Cobra R = 240 - 260 lb/in variable rate

should i leave the isolators on or take them off when i install the 4cyl springs???

It all depends on how much camber you are after.

Lowered Mustangs gain negative camber and that is definately hard on wide tire for wear but negative camber actually increases cornering. Especially at low speeds.
