Actually the higher performance stang in 93 was the Cobra rated at 235hp,it was also a 5.0. The GT was only rated for 205 and used cast pistons. From 87-92 it was rated at 225 and used forged pistons. All of them were HO.

make sure your running premium gas, a buddy of mine is a engine re builder for village ford and i guess with the H.O. your supposed to run premium fuel, didn't know that till i replaced the H.O with the crate engine (always wondered why it ran like s***)
