Default aod to t5 clutch safety switch.

i am swapping out the auto for a t5 that i got with the car when i purchased it. i did the whole pedal assmebly swap and relocated the odometer cable. after looking through my manual i noticed the manual cars have a ctluch safety switch. does this have to be hooked up for the car to start? i didn't have one on my pedal assembly and i am wondering if the car will even know the difference. or do i have to hunt down this part and put it on. maybe there is a way to bypass it anyways?

also for anyone doing the swap it is pretty straight forward and super easy. you definately have to remove the seat. i also removed the steering column. i have heard people can do it with it in there but it looks near impossible to do it with the column in. for my first time it took me about 3.5hrs definately could cut that time way down if i ever did it again. probably under 2.5 if i had to do it again.

Down by the pedals you will see a connector that has a loop connecting the two terminals... that loop bypases the clutch safety switch on an automatic. If you want to hook it up you need to unplug the loop and plug the connector into the switch.

When I did this on my EGT I had to make sure to disable the park safty switch that is on the Auto. Basically it was just a switch that the shifter hit when the war was in park. I took a zip tie and made it so the car is always in park

I left my jumper wire from the auto plugged in. Who needs a safety switch, its all in my head. Way I look at it is its another part to keep my car from starting if theres a problem
