HCI disaster...
So i'm all done tearing it down and am pullin the cam out and the peices that the pushrods are supported by... "lifters"...when the cam is in, decides to fall down into the oil pan...
I have removed all the bolts to the oil pan in order to remove the oil pan, but how to do I remove the oil pan now... The tranny seems to be in the way and it doesn't look good for me... HCI turns into a nightmare with this...
I don't know what to do...

RE: HCI disaster...
haha, you forgot to remove the lifters before you pulled the cam out!? wow....... I am so sorry to hear that, but it is a little amusing.
Don't freak out. You are going to have to rent or borrow (unless you have one) an engine lift or "cherry picker" so that you can hoist the engine up a little. You may be able to jack the engine up somehow to get the pan off, but you are going to have to unbolt the engine from the mounts regardless. These are the only ways I know of getting the oil pan off completely because of our K-members and such.

RE: HCI disaster...
Not sure how the tranny could be in the way. If the motor is still in the car , you are going to have to lift the motor up as you may already knowMake sure all bolts are out & you may have to pry the pan off . The rear seal may be tight.

RE: HCI disaster...
good lord...
obviously you didn't read any kind of directions or how-to's, you just started tearing bolts off.
i bet you used a screwdriver to pry the heads free from the block, too.
