Default convertible rear windows wiring problem

89 vert rear windows go up and down only if they are activated by their rear switches, I cannot control them from the driver door any ideas?

yeah you either have a broken wire from the master switch or the master switch is bad.

The front will only control the front two and the rears work on thier own... sounds like a master switch issue, replaced mine at the junkyard for $12-$15.

nah you're wrong on that one, my master switch has 4 buttons, 2 for the front and 2 for the back plus a window lock switch and an lock/unlock for the doors.one of the rear windows was working a couple of weeks ago, but it stopped, I pulled the panel off removed the motor and hooked it up to a battery and it worked fine. they both go up and down when i hit their respective buttons in the back, but I cannot control them from the front drivers switch.

I have the same master switch as you... I know what they look like.

Two options, chase the wires from the motor forward and find the dead spot, or pull the door panel off and remove the back cover from the master switch and check the wires for the rear switches with a voltmeter, and see what they're doing when the buttons are pressed... that'll tell you where the problem is.
