3g install today
ok, i just woke up on my first day off in 8 days...
gonna do the 3g conversion today
i found a nice writeup full of pictures
but none of the writeups i can find mention anything about belt size and pulley swapping.
i remember hearing/reading that the 75A alt pulley needs to be installed to the 130A alt to maintain the stock belt.
is this true?

RE: 3g install today
The question of whether you have underdrive pulleys now comes into play. If you have installed underdrive pulleys on the vehicle, you may not be able to spin the 3G fast enough at idle especially if you are using an electric fan or large stereo system. The owner had a large stereo system and needed all the power he could get at idle. We decided to install the factory alternator pulley from the 75 amp which is smaller in diameter and will allow the alternator to spin faster at idle to give a complete charge.

With all stock accesories, youshould be able touse the stock length belt, a few things to check...
posistion of the tentioner, how well the system charges, and belt squeel/slack. if none of these are an issue then your all set.
