Default 3g install complete!

woohoo!
finally, no more dimming..

i do believe my stock gauge is off by quite a bit, but nevertheless, its done.

14.46V idle
13.1V idle with heat/headlamps/foglamps

For anyone considering this install, please note:
If you purchase a 3g alt from a 94-95-96 Thunderbird 3.8 NON-supercharged, the mounting holes must be drilled out mildly to accept the stock 7/16" bolts

one thing that threw me off before hand was the tech article about it. it doesn't really mention that there are TWO plugs going into the stock alt, and you hack up the 2nd one.

but after you take a peek at what you are dealing with, its a cakewalk.

i wish i took pictures, i would write up a better explanation.

yah so i ran into a problem last night. aparently i didnt clamp down hard enough on the ring connector going to the alt, the cable came out last night and whacked my floor board right under my feet. i thought it was a rock, and kept on goin.

a nice gentlemen at the gas station told me i was dragging something. low and behold, the cable is hangin down from the solenoid, just chillin there.
gotta come up with something today before my 4th festivities.
