hey guy's im ordering parts to rebuild my rearend in a 92 lx, and am wondering what speedo gear i would need for 4.30 gears. i couldnt find any info on which one was for which gear? thanks for the help

why 4.30's????goin rock crawling???? the speedo gear will be a 21 tooth...don't get the 23 tooth...it is not made for our trannys....you will also need to change the gear in the tranny to prolly a 6 tooth for more accuracy..

its an all moter car, that is for drag racing, so ya we need all the gear we can get, and besides as ive seen countless times "dont fear the gear" anyone else agree with the statement of 21 tooth? just want to make sure before i buy

I'd get a 6 tooth internal trans gear assuming you have a t5. Then your going going to need a 19 or 21 tooth gear to get it right depending on tire size. With a 7 tooth drive gear in your tranny and 23 tooth driven gear you can get your speedo close with a 28 inch tall tire.

As for the statement that 23 tooth gears aren't for our cars that is false. The 23 tooth gears are made for t5s. They were never used by ford but were used by other companys for there 4x4 with low gear ratios. A 23 tooth will work fine.

you are partially right...the 23 tooth will work...but over time it will strip out from not meshing properly with the gear in the tranny...notice te 23 tooth gear isn't even an option in Adder's chart? Do it right the first time and be done with it...
