my 93 roadmaster has beat many stock 5.0s in it's stock form. your 91 truck probably has the l-05 350 with 180 hp and 300 ft-lb torque. the torque curve is far better than 5.0l's torque curve. on the higher end i'd give the kill to the stang but from a dig i'd pass it to chevy products until about 65-75 mph.

A stock 350 1500 is in no way faster than a 5.0 mustang especially a 5 speed mustang. Any of the automatic 350 1500's I have driven fall flat on their face after first gear.

KOMan: Must have one heck of a roadmaster to beat up on 5.0 mustangs. Cause my stock 87 5.0 pulls on my friends 96 9c1 LT1 caprice.

stock 1500 w/350= 15.7
stock stang w/302= 14.2

mustang should be a lot faster!
Where did you get the 14.2 for a stock 5.0? Mine with some light mods ran 15.3.
Ive never seen a stock 5.0 run 14.2.
Also any stock 1500 Ive seen ran high 16's or slower.

A roadmaster as in buick beat a 5.0!!!??? I think not the 5.0 probably didn't even know you were racing. I'd spank no let me rephrase that obliterate your roadmaster with my nearly stock 5.0 92 notch.I'd suck that roadmaster through my intake a fart back out the tail pipes a blue oval!!! not even off the line would it be close.

off the line up to about 65-75 mph i'd give the win to the buick still. above that to the fox. i'd take almost anyone up on that stock to stock, anyday, anytime. that 96 lt1 caprice might be the 4.3 V8 instead of the 5.7 V8 which makes a HUGE difference. my brother has a 96 with the 5.7 lt1 i'd give him the win up until about the same area then it's a slight fight til about 100. the b-bodies may be a large car but don't underestimate them. the torque curve is far better than that of the fox 5.0l. a well set-up car will beat-up on a slapdashed car anyday. although my fox is my dream car i can't say it was well thought out from the factory stock.

Roadmaster as in buick luxory car with lt-1 engine. We have a frequent customer at our shop with one. Its pretty quick but I don't think it was ever faster then my mustang. Its a pretty big heavy car.

PJB I've seen bone stock mustang run a 13.7 on street tires and it was even a hatch.
