Default Mac Throttle Body??

I baught a Mac 70mm TB and EGR spacer, I heard by some people that the Mac TB is crappy and that the gaskets make the car idle bad. Is this true? What are the best throttle bodies out there? Is mac one of them?

well...t/bisnt something thats a big power adder so its not like one is going to give u 20hp and one's gunna give u 2...they're pretty much all jus gunna help a little bit for air flow...as far as quality, BBK makes pretty good t/b...but no one is gunna stand out way more than other i dont believe. hope this helps <IMG src=smileys/smiley14.gif border="0"></P>

that where your wrong ..it could be 20+if that where the restriction is </P>

ex:</P>

I was using a 65mm on my s/c could only get around 7-8 psi</P>

went to a 75mm T/B and now get 13-14 psi..about 50-70 horse powerno other changes...</P>

but in all fairness when putting a 70mm on a stock engine it will lose hp so you were on the right track with your 2 hp gain</P><edited><editID>vfast</editID><editDate>37868.4917939815</editDate></edited>

I have a good amount of work done to my car but im also thinking about the future when i get a new motor and really hook it up. Will I lose power by putting on a 70mm TB when i have a trick flow street heat intake, fuel preassure reg, bbk cold air kit, pulleys, electric fan, BBK equal lenth headers, O/R H-pipe? Will i still lose power

If you go too large you will lose air velocity on a N/A engine, then you will kill your torque
