What's a better size for headers?
1 5/8 or 1 3/4 and why?

RE: What's a better size for headers?
really depends on your goals and how much power you'll be making. If you're not planning anything too radical, the 1 and 5/8's will be fine.

1 5/8's it is then. Thanks.

RE: What's a better size for headers?

I also have 1 5/8. Big improvement for a street car. Might as well get a nice set of long tubes if you are gonna go 1 3/4 imo

RE: What's a better size for headers?
shorties are a ton easier to install on our cars.
and ceramic coated is the best type i believe. and u dont have to run a shorty. but to install long tube headers you have to "rock" the motor which would be more than its worth. exspecially since last time i checked long tubes only give you like 1 or 2 more hp than shorties. |

yes.
you simply unbolt the old headers. and put the new ones on. u can use the same bolts. but make sure your headers come with gaskets because you will need new ones. |
RE: What's a better size for headers?
yes they are a direct bolt on, also deff get the cermaic coated ones, if you get the chromies, theyll look like my bbk's, lets just say they arent chrome anymore[:@]
