wow....where to start. im sure you dont want a rough idle, i think your looking for a lope in you idle. get a mild cam, b303, tfs-1 soemthing like that. if you wanna dish out the money get a custom grind. e7's suck. if your on a budget go gt40's otherwise get a good set of aluminums. i cant believe you WANT to be embarrased. seems kind of strange, i usualy like to look good in my car. lol. get some gears. cheap and good mod

man you want a nice set of 1.90 valve heads..small cam something like a 490-512 which will have 0 issues..I would install a nice small NX kit using maybe a 75 shot for those race runs ONLY!

Maybe someone should make that link a sticky. It also shows flow on ported heads also, unless there is already a sticky with flow charts.

i dislike "p" heads

i agree w/ the b-cam

i agree on 1993 cobra heads, they are the real gt-40 iron heads f3zz casting i think

typically find them for $500 tops, do minor port work concentrate on the exhaust

squirt 75 on it

it takes heads, cam, and intake to make 300 true hp w/out nitrous, and 300 true hp will turn mid 12s in the 1/4

i advise of non p heads. actually look into some RHS heads, i'm getting some here shortly, they have awesome flow, and they on the cheap as well.

stop using caps.

e7te's are stock heads. they barely support the 225hp stock later fulie cars made.
exploer heads will support 300hp, not much more but they are much better than what you have now. they do have some fittment issues with headers as the spark plugs are not in the traditional location. some shortys work and most long tubes will work. there are also p specific headers that can be purchased.

a rough idle will give you top end power at the expence of low end power. good heads, good induction, and a mild cam will make 300 pretty easy.

you mentioned you didnt want to get embarresed at the track, you will want to make alot more than 300hp. make sure you get some gears and some drag radials at the very least. that with 300hp will get you in the high 12-low 14 second range.
