Default Need help finding a wire...

Ok, the only gauge that I have not managed to have in my 87 as of now, is my tach. Speedo bounces a bit, but works pretty good for now. But I can't stand the idea of not having my tach. My car was converted to a 351W carb setup, and it was not hooked back up. Anyone know how to wire up the stock tach to work with it? I'm going to eventually get an autometer, but until funds permit, I need this to work so I can drive the car. I cant stand not being able to get an idea of my rpms. The wiring is still all there, but I have no idea where to go with it. Any suggestions or anyone done this?

If you still have the harness on the driver's side, look for the 8-pin connector tagged with #31 below.

It would have been connected to #31 in the diagram below, if you still had the EFI harness....

Wire the Tach wire to the coil (-) terminal.....or look behind the instrument cluster board connectors and look for the Tach wire.

Yep I finally figure it out today. Tach works just like new. Thanks for the info. Now I can wait a while before springing for an Autometer to replace it.
