LIFTING THE FRONT WHEELS
how much HP is needed to lift the front wheels off of the ground ive seen alot of 5.0s at the track doing wheel stands
or doseis it have to do with the rear end gears?

RE: LIFTING THE FRONT WHEELS
You honestly dont want the front to come up do you? It tears stuff up when it sets back down. You want great weight transfer not the tires coming of the ground. If you do get the front coming up. Make sure you upgrade the front suspension to handle the shock of setting back down.

RE: LIFTING THE FRONT WHEELS
as the others mentioned, no magic Hp number, things that lend to lifting tires on start are;
front sway bar
weight in front (wheels, tires, k-member, A arms, engine, etc)
front suspension that allows upward movement
engine torque at launch
overall gear ratio
stick of rear tires
rear suspension that provides lift (lift bars)
