Hey Hack, if you want my 2 cents--and these are just the reckonings of mytiny brain: Everyone knows that oil smoke is blue, but I say it can look white under certain conditions. If you don't run the **** out of your car often enough, you could have some oil sitting in your intake and TB, etc., and carbon in your combustion chambers. Then when you get on it, you start displacing that stuff and burning it.When I first bought my car, the first 100 times I gave it hell, smokecame out at high rpms. 20k miles, two heavy duty Techron treatments, and one added oil separator later, my car doesn't smoke noticeably at high rpms--or any time for that matter. And here I originally thought the motor would need a freshening soon. Another possibility is that you are just getting blowby at high rippums. A fun test would be to run it hard again, during the day, with someone knowledgable following you and scrutinizing the smoke. I'd do that before condemning the motor to the scrap heap.

yeah i know thats what we thought too. he was revin out to 7500 every time i dont know it was a great race though

twisted. that was the only time my car has smoked like that. i have owned it for 3 years and that was the first time, i was at the track the night before and it didnt do that on any of my runs. like i said i think it was from my pcv valve getting stuck open and just sucking a bunch of oil up. when i checked my oil level it was a little lower than when i checked it earlier that day

I think you can let the cars thermostat open up and look into the radiator and if there are alot of bubbles than you know there is a head gasket problem but until i knew for sure i would not change the head gasket. try pcv..Good luck!
